The three Elk City senior wrestlers were sent off on a good note during Senior Night against Mangum.

The Big Elks came away with a 39-6 win over the Mangum Tigers.

Elk City won four matches by forfeits. Elk City and Mangum wrestled in four bouts, three of which Elk City won.

Cody Williamson started the dual off by pinning his opponent. Gavyn Smith also pinned his opponent in the 178-pound division. Elias Wiseman was pinned at 182 pounds. Aaron Cromer led his opponent 6-1 as time expired.

"I'm impressed. Finally got some kids healthy. Really impressed with Gavyn Smith on his feet," said Kevin Mincher, Elk City head coach. "Of course, Aaron Cromer is going to give you everything he's got every time. Cody Williamson, I felt like he wrestled extremely well against a tough hard-nosed kid. That's probably one of the better 182 pounders that Elias wrestled tonight. Overall, I'm happy. Really appreciate the way all the kids worked so hard this year. Hopefully, we can get everybody healthy and have a good regional."

Before the varsity dual seniors Hunter Christian, Dylan Pollard, and Cromer were honored.

"That's a special bunch of kids," said Mincher. "It looks like Dylan's finally going to be healthy and it looks like Hunter's going to be healthy. We'll try to get them to State. They led well. I couldn't be more happy with that group of seniors."

The Elks will go to Anadarko for the Regional Tournament next week. The Big Elks will have a chance to qualify individually for the State Tournament while in Anadarko.

"They're ready. We're going to do some conditioning, but they're ready," said Mincher.
