The first phase of elimination is tonight and Saturday for Class A and Class B basketball teams.

Merritt, Canute, Hammon, Leedey, and Corn Bible Academy will all be looking at claiming a District Title and keep their playoff run alive.

MERRITT-CANUTE

The Merritt teams will host Canute and Arapaho-Butler for district play. Both of the Merritt teams received first-round byes in district action. 

The Oilerettes are 13-10 after their regular season and are Class A's no. 19 ranked team. The Merritt Oilerettes have beaten Canute 60-45 earlier in the year. The Oilerettes are 2-0 against Arapaho-Butler.

The Oilers have ended their regular season with a 19-4 record and are ranked as Class A's no. 11. The Oilers have played Arapaho-Butler and Canute one time this year, both were wins. Merritt beat Arapaho-Butler 71-43 and Canute 77-38 earlier in the season.

The Trojans and Trojanettes will take on Arapaho-Butler in an elimination game today in Merritt. 

The Trojans are 3-18 coming into the District Tournament. Canute fell to Arapaho-Butler 37-15 and lost to Merritt 77-38 this year.

The Trojanettes have played Arapaho-Butler three times this year. Canute has lost 34-25, 43-41, and 41-38. The Trojanettes lost to Merritt 60-45. 

The winners will move on to face Merritt in the District Championship game on Saturday.The two teams in the finals will advance to the Regional Tournament.

HAMMON

The Hammon teams will host Lone Wolf and Mountain View-Gotebo tonight and Saturday. The Hammon boys and girls earned first round byes in district play and will play the winner of Lone Wolf and Mountain View-Gotebo on Saturday. The two teams in the district title game will keep their playoff run alive and advance to regionals.

The Lady Warriors are ranked as Class B's no. 1 team with a 21-2 record. Hammon is 6-0 while at home.

The Warriors were led by their new head coach Josh Trent to a 15-10 record and a Class B no. 8 rank coming into the District Tournament. The Warriors will have to wait for their opponent on Saturday. Hammon is 6-2 while in their home gym.

LEEDEY

The Leedey Bison will travel to Fort Supply and will play Taloga tonight in an elimination game. With a win Leedey will play Fort Supply on Saturday. 

The Leedey Lady Bison will go to Fort Supply on Saturday to face Fort Supply in their District Tournament. Both teams will get to the Regional Tournament.

The Lady Bison finished the regular season at 18-6 and are Class B's no. 7 ranked team. The Lady Bison traveled to Fort Supply on January 27. Leedey beat Fort Supply 74-20. 

The Bison are 8-15 and have lost twice to Fort Supply nearing the end of the year. Leedey lost 71-50 and 58-51 to Fort Supply.

CBA

The Lady Crusaders and the Crusaders will travel to Lookeba-Sickles on Saturday with a District Title on the line. Both of the teams will make it to the Regional Tournament.

The Lady Crusaders are 14-8 and are Class B's no. 14 ranked team coming into the District Tournament. On January 24 the Lady Crusaders went to Lookeba-Sickles and won 52-41.

The Crusaders are 9-13 and lost at Lookeba-Sickles 45-34 on January 24. The same place and same team they will face in the District Tournament. The Crusaders will hope to put that behind them on Saturday.
