The Class B District pairings were written up last week. The Class B teams now know who stands in their way to advance to the Regional Tournament to keep their playoff run alive.

HAMMON GIRLS

The preseason Class B no. 1 ranked Hammon Lady Warrriors have not disappointed voters and are still no. 1 with a 19-1 record.

Hammon will host Lone Wolf and Mountain View-Gotebo for the District Tournament.

"It's always good to be at home to start the playoffs," said Lance Carpenter, Hammon girls head coach.

The Lady Warriors have not yet met either team in regular season play. Lone Wolf is 3-13 on the year.

The Hammon Lady Warriors will get a bye on the first day of district play and will play the winner of Lone Wolf and Mountain View-Gotebo on February 11.

"It's an advantage to play a playoff game at home," said Carpenter.

HAMMON BOYS

The Hammon Warriors will not travel for their first postseason games.

The Class B no. 8 are 12-8 and 4-5 against top 20 teams.

Hammon has not met either Lone Wolf or Mountain View-Gotebo this season.

"It's good to stay at home. It'll be good because no travel time," said Josh Trent, Hammon boys head coach. "We've had a tough stretch of teams, but come playoff time we'll be ready."

LEEDEY GIRLS

The Leedey Lady Bison are currently the Class B's no. 7 ranked team. The Lady Bison are 15-5 and will travel to Fort Supply for their District Tournament.

They will be vying for a spot in the Regional Tournament against Fort Supply and Taloga.

Leedey has gotten a bye and will play the winner of the two teams on Saturday February 11.

Fort Supply is 5-16 and Taloga is winless at 0-17. Leedey will travel to Fort Supply on Friday in what could be a preview of a district matchup.

Wilson said that Fort Supply returned one starter from last year when they won the Area Tournament.

"They're [Fort Supply] well coached," said Cory Wilson, Leedey girls head coach. "They've lost a lot of leadership from last year."

Leedey is not disappointed in having to travel for district play, because they will host the Regional Tournament.

"We don't mind the travel since we'll be able to host Regionals," said Wilson. "We're pretty fortunate with our draw."

As the Leedey Lady Bison get closer to closing out their season they do not want to look ahead into postseason play.

"Every year you're excited about playoff pairings, but you have to take care of business in the last four or five games," said Wilson. "It helps to see who you'll be matched up with and get to scout some teams."

LEEDEY BOYS

The Leedey Bison will have to go to the no. 5 ranked Class B team in Fort Supply for their District Tournament.

The Bison are 8-11 on the year and have yet to meet up with Fort Supply or Taloga.

This Friday the Bison will travel to Fort Supply for a possible preview of a district game against Fort Supply. Leedey could possibly meet up with Fort Supply again in the 270 Playoffs and in district play.

"They've got guards that can shoot when they get hot, and have a 6'5" exchange student who can play," said Darren Danielson, Leedey boys head coach.

The Bison will play the 0-17 Taloga Panthers on the first day of district play, with a win they will be moving onto Regionals. The Bison will host a Regional Tournament after traveling to Fort Supply for district competition.

"That excites you. If we take care of Taloga we get to play Regionals on our home court," said Danielson. "That gives us an advantage and may be able to make a run."

CBA GIRLS

The Corn Bible Academy Lady Crusaders are Class B's no 14 ranked team. They are coming off of a State Championship season and are looking to make another deep postseason run.

CBA is 10-8 so far this year. The Lady Crusaders will go on the road at the end of the year for their District Tournament. CBA will go to Lookeba-Sickles against the current 8-14 Lady Panthers.

"Their offense revolves around 3-point shooting," said Terry Fellenstein, Corn Bible Academy head coach. "We'll have to shut that down."

The Lady Crusaders are coming off of a 52-41 road win against Lookeba-Sickles in a preview of the district matchup.

"It helps us in a way. It gives them a little incentive," said Fellenstein. "We play in spurts. That's been our habit all year. We have to be more consistent."

CBA BOYS

The Corn Bible Academy Crusaders have met up with their district opponent on the road once this year. The Crusaders were not able to get a road win against the Lookeba-Sickles Class B no. 15 ranked team.

CBA fell 45-34 to the Panthers. The Crusaders trailed 16-4 after the first quarter and could never rebound and take the lead from then on.

"We battled back the rest of the way. It was just such a big hole after the first quarter," said Fellenstien.

The Crusaders are 5-12 on the year and Lookeba-Sickles is 13-9. Both CBA and Lookeba-Sickles will advance into the Regional Tournament after their district meeting.

"We know what they do and have to do things better," said Fellenstein.
