If you are interested in helping to buy more lights for the Hammon City Park for next year, donations can be sent to The City of Hammon, 108 S. Broadway, Hammon, OK 73650 or call and talk to Angie at (580) 473-2281. The company where they purchased the lights has a 20 percent off sale right after Christmas—so let’s help LIGHT THE PARK! Many of the decorations run about $500 or less. Be sure and drive by—it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
If you didn’t get to attend the 100th Birthday Celebration of Hammon School, DVD’s of the “Hammon School--100 years of Warrior Pride” are still available for $5, or $6 if mailed. The Foundation also currently has a few afghans celebrating Hammon School’s 100th birthday left. The design features a part of an apple with the inscription “100 years, 1911-2011, Educating Hammon, Then, Now, Tomorrow.” The cost is $50. These would make an awesome Christmas gift for someone who has everything! Contact Brenda Archer, Lorri Moore, Cheryl Ivey, Randy Stickney, or Shelly Goodall to order yours today!
Please remember those who are sick or shut-in in our community or those who have community ties. These people need our prayers and maybe drop them a card or stop by to visit for a few minutes.
