OHCE January Meeting

The Elk City Homemakers met Tuesday, January 17 in the home of Jennifer Sutherland.  The meeting was called to order by Joyce Mikles, president.  The OHCE creed was recited in unison by the members and the Flag Salute was led by Margaret Nichols.  The members answered roll call by telling their #1 Club Goal for 2012,  Those attending were:  Juanita Adams, Colene Barham, Mary Lou Britton, Lois Hubbard, Joyce Mikles, Virginia Reid, Barbara Thompson, Margaret Nichols, and the hostess, Jennifer.

It was reported that the children’s clothing collected by the members was taken to the Merritt Grade School and one of the Elk City Grade Schools.

Yearbooks for 2012 were reviewed and filled out.  Programs for the year were discussed and members were asked to volunteer to give one of the programs.

The door prize was won by Lois Hubbard. The February meeting will be held in the home of Juanita Adams on February 21.

Meeting adjourned and refreshments were served by the hostess.
