Memorial services for Scott Adams were conducted Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Elk City with Rev. Danny Ringer officiating. Interment was held at the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.

Jeffery Scott Adams was born January 15, 1963 in Elk City to Jerry and Mary Katherine (Little) Adams and passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at the age of 48. He graduated from Elk City High School and at the age of 18 started his own welding service. Scott worked as a welder in construction and the oilfield for some 30 years and was employed with Circle W Services at the time of his death. He was a past member of the Elks Lodge and the Elk City Golf and Country Club and was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include two children: Amber Hickman and her husband Darrell of Chickasha, OK; Ryan Adams of Moore, OK, his mother, Mary Katherine Adams of Rockwall, TX, a sister, Shelley Harless and her husband Ty of Rockwall, TX, three grandchildren, Heather, Heath and Gentri and a nephew, Blake. A memorial fund in Scott’s name has been arranged at Great Plains National Bank in care of Diana Boyett. An online registry is available at www.martinfhok.com.
