Mary Henley was born Oct. 1, 1948 in Elk City, OK to Joan Gwin and Thomas Jefferson Reiner. She passed away Aug. 23, 2011 at her home at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Mary grew up in the Elk City and Mangum communities. She was married to Curtis Henley at Wellington, Texas on January 9, 1964 and they lived in the Elk City area eventually making their home west of town. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She loved to be outside and working in her garden and tending her yard and flowers. Mary enjoyed working with her hands and spent many hours canning, sewing and painting artworks.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis, of the home; 2 children,  Sheila Kensington, Caledonia, MI and Curtis Henley, Jr.and Sherry, Elk City, OK; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 7 sisters and brothers, Jessie Buchalla, Mildred Henley, Beatrice Anders, Jerry Reiner, James Arterberry, Clifford Arterberry, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Kendell Hamilton. Burial will be at Canute Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
