Memorial services for Manilal Desai were conducted Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City.

Manilal Vallabh Bhai Desai was born August 9, 1937 at Varad, India to Vallabh Bhah Desai and Vhaliben Desai and passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at the age of 74. Mr. Desai worked with his son, Mike who owns and operates the Ramada Inn of Elk City. He received his US Citizenship in the early 1990’s and was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Survivors include his wife: Gangaben Manilal Desai of Elk City, a son, Rajubhai Manibhan Desai of New Jersey, a daughter, Sheelaben Jitubhai Patel of California, a son, “Mike” Mineshbhai Manilal Desai of Elk City, grandchildren, Kishan, Bhavesh, Ishan, Aashtha and a sister, Laxmiben of London, England.
