Memorial services for Robert Shepard were conducted Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City with Dana Holden officiating.

Robert Lavaughn Shepard was born October 9, 1959 at Clinton, OK to Lavaughn and Dorothy Pauline (Price) Shepard and passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at the age of 51. He graduated from Elk City High School and then continued his education at Sayre Junior College. Robert was a truck driver by trade but also was into computer technology and had served as a police officer in Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his father: Lavaughn Shepard of Sneedsville, TN, brothers and sisters, Lona Horton of Foss, Dorothy Shepard of Amarillo, TX, John Shepard of Springer, OK and his constant companion, his dog “Jackie.” An online registry is available at www.martinfhok.com.
